About the Volkswagen Transporter T7
The T7 Transporter marks a significant shift in Volkswagen's commercial vehicle history, being the first developed as part of a strategic alliance with Ford. While the Multivan T7 uses the MQB passenger car platform, this Transporter panel van shares its chassis and assembly line with the Ford Transit Custom. It offers a significant increase in payload and towing capacity over the outgoing T6.1, while retaining Volkswagen-specific interior ergonomics and exterior styling. The 2.0 TDI remains the core workhorse of the range, providing the torque and efficiency required for long-distance logistics.
