About the Toyota Fortuner AN150

The second-generation Toyota Fortuner, launched in 2015, moved the nameplate further away from its Hilux donor with a more sophisticated 'Keen Look' design and a significantly improved interior. Built on the IMV platform, it retains a rugged ladder-frame chassis and a selectable four-wheel-drive system with a low-range transfer case, making it a genuine off-roader. The 2.8-litre 1GD-FTV engine introduced improved refinement and torque over the previous 3.0-litre unit. While not sold in Western Europe or North America, it remains a dominant force in markets like Southeast Asia, Australia, and South Africa due to its legendary reliability.
