About the Jeep Cherokee KK
The fourth-generation Cherokee, known as the KK, replaced the rounded KJ with a return to the sharp, boxy styling reminiscent of the classic XJ. In Europe, the 2.8-litre VM Motori diesel engine was the mainstay, providing the high torque necessary for its 2.8-tonne towing capacity. It featured the Sky Slider full-length open-canvas roof as a standout option, alongside the Selec-Trac II full-time four-wheel-drive system. While it lacked the on-road refinement of contemporary crossovers, its off-road capability remained superior to most in its class.
