About the Skoda Kodiaq Mk1
Launched in 2016, the Kodiaq was Skoda's first foray into the large SUV market, sharing its MQB A2 platform with the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace. The 2.0 TDI SE L trim became a UK favourite, balancing a punchy 150 PS diesel engine with a high level of standard equipment including LED headlights and Alcantara upholstery. It is widely praised for its 'Simply Clever' features, such as door-edge protectors and umbrellas hidden in the doors. While not a performance vehicle, its composed handling and massive 720-litre boot made it a benchmark for family practicality.
