About the Skoda 110 R
The Skoda 110 R, internally designated Type 718 and affectionately known as 'Erko', was a stylish fastback coupé based on the 100/110 saloon platform. Produced at the Kvasiny plant, it featured a steeply raked windscreen, frameless door windows, and a rear-mounted engine that gave it a distinct handling character. While its 1.1-litre engine offered modest performance, its lightweight construction and rear-engine traction made it a favourite for budget enthusiasts and a successful base for the legendary 130 RS rally cars. Today, it is a highly sought-after Eastern Bloc classic, prized for its elegant silhouette and motorsport heritage.
