About the SEAT Leon Cupra R Mk1
Developed by SEAT Sport, the Mk1 Leon Cupra R was the brand's first serious attempt to challenge the hot hatch elite. Sharing its 20-valve 1.8T engine with the Audi S3 and TT, the initial 210 PS version offered significantly more performance than the contemporary Mk4 Golf GTI for a lower price. It features a bespoke body kit with aggressive air intakes, 18-inch 'Arras' alloy wheels, and Brembo front brakes as standard. While the later 225 PS model is more common, the 210 is prized by collectors for its purity and status as the original SEAT Sport road car.
