About the Renault Megane Mk3
The third-generation Renault Megane, launched in 2008, moved away from the radical 'shaking that ass' styling of its predecessor for a more conventional and aerodynamic look. The 1.5 dCi engine in 110 PS guise was the volume seller in the UK, favoured for its impressive fuel economy and low CO2 emissions which qualified it for free road tax at the time. While it lacks the sharp handling of its Ford Focus contemporary, it offers a supple ride and a well-insulated cabin. As a used buy, it remains a practical choice, though electrical gremlins and timing belt intervals require careful attention.
