About the Porsche 911 Speedster 964
The 964-generation Speedster was designed as a more focused driver's car than its 3.2-litre predecessor, bridging the gap between the Carrera 2 and the hardcore Carrera RS. It features a signature low-profile raked windscreen, a simplified manual folding top, and a distinctive 'double-bubble' polyurethane rear deck. Inside, the cabin is stripped of most luxuries, often featuring the lightweight Recaro bucket seats from the RS. While Porsche initially planned a run of 3,000 units, economic conditions limited production to just 936 examples, making it one of the rarest 964 variants.
