About the Porsche 911 S/T 992
Launched to celebrate the 911's 60th anniversary, the S/T is the lightest model of the 992 generation. It combines the high-revving 4.0-litre engine from the GT3 RS with a bespoke short-ratio manual transmission and a unique lightweight clutch with a single-mass flywheel. By deleting rear-axle steering and using extensive carbon-fibre reinforced plastic (CFRP) and magnesium components, Porsche created a road-focused special that prioritises tactile engagement over lap times. It is widely considered the spiritual successor to the 911 R, offering a raw and mechanical driving experience that is increasingly rare in the modern era.
