About the Porsche 911 GT2 997
The 997-generation GT2 was the first to feature Porsche's Variable Turbine Geometry (VTG) and an expansion intake manifold, resulting in a broader torque curve and 530 hp. Unlike the Turbo model, it sends all power to the rear wheels through a reinforced six-speed manual gearbox, earning it a reputation as a demanding driver's car. It features a unique titanium exhaust and carbon-ceramic brakes as standard, shedding 145kg compared to the contemporary 911 Turbo. As one of the last manual, rear-drive turbocharged 911s, it is highly prized by collectors for its raw, mechanical character.
