About the Porsche 911 GT2 993
The 993 GT2 is the ultimate air-cooled 911, developed as a homologation special for FIA GT2 racing. By stripping the 993 Turbo of its all-wheel-drive system and luxury appointments, Porsche saved over 200kg while increasing power from the 3.6-litre flat-six. It is distinguished by its iconic bolt-on plastic wheel arch flares and a massive 'banana' rear wing with integrated air scoops. Known as the 'Widowmaker' for its lack of electronic aids and aggressive power delivery, it remains one of the most visceral and sought-after Porsches ever built.
