About the Noble M400
The Noble M400 is the ultimate evolution of the M12, designed by Lee Noble to be a uncompromising track-focused supercar. Powered by a Roush-mapped Ford Duratec V6 with twin Garrett T28 turbochargers, it achieves a power-to-weight ratio of 400 bhp per tonne—the inspiration for its name. The car is famously devoid of electronic aids, lacking ABS, traction control, and airbags, demanding total commitment from the driver. Its chassis, featuring a steel spaceframe and integral roll cage, was manufactured by Hi-Tech Automotive in South Africa before final assembly in the UK or as a component car in the US.

Noble M400 fun facts
- The M400's name is a direct reference to its power-to-weight ratio of 400 brake horsepower per tonne.
- Despite its supercar performance, the M400 uses various parts from mainstream cars, including tail lights from a Hyundai Sonata and an engine based on the Ford Mondeo ST220.
- After Noble ended production, the rights were sold to 1G Racing in the USA, which evolved the design into the Rossion Q1.
