About the Peugeot 504

Designed by Pininfarina, the Peugeot 504 is one of the most significant French cars of the 20th century, renowned for its exceptional durability and long-travel suspension. While the saloon was replaced in Europe by the 505 in 1979, its legendary reliability saw production continue in Nigeria and Kenya until 2006. The 1975 model represents the refined second series, featuring a floor-mounted gear lever and improved interior trim. It is celebrated by collectors for its supple ride quality and communicative, unassisted steering that makes it surprisingly modern to drive.
