About the Peugeot 5008 Mk1
The first-generation Peugeot 5008 was a traditional compact MPV that prioritised interior flexibility and family practicality. Introduced late in the Mk1's production run to replace the ageing 1.6 VTi, the 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder engine brought modern efficiency and surprisingly punchy performance to the large chassis. It features a clever seating system where all five rear seats fold flat into the floor, creating a cavernous loading area. While the Mk1 lacks the SUV styling of its successor, it is widely regarded for its superior visibility and car-like handling on the PSA PF2 platform.
