About the Peugeot 5008
The second-generation Peugeot 5008 marked a radical departure for the nameplate, transforming from a traditional MPV into a sharp-edged, mid-sized SUV. Built on the EMP2 platform, it is essentially a stretched version of the 3008, offering a longer wheelbase to accommodate seven seats as standard. The 1.2-litre PureTech three-cylinder engine is surprisingly capable for the vehicle's size, benefitting from a relatively low kerb weight. Inside, the 'i-Cockpit' layout with its small steering wheel and high-set digital instruments provides a unique, premium-feeling driving environment that distinguishes it from more conservative rivals like the Skoda Kodiaq.
