About the Peugeot 208 GTi A9

The Peugeot 208 GTi arrived in 2013 as a spiritual successor to the legendary 205 GTi, prioritising light weight and agility over raw power. Built on the PSA PF1 platform, it shed 90kg compared to the preceding 207 GTi, resulting in a nimble 1,160kg kerb weight. The 1.6-litre THP 'Prince' engine provides punchy mid-range torque, though the car is often noted for its refined, daily-driver character rather than track-focused aggression. It features a distinctive 'i-Cockpit' layout with a tiny steering wheel and high-mounted dials, a design choice that remains a hallmark of modern Peugeots.
