About the Mini Aceman J05
The Mini Aceman (J05) is the brand's first dedicated electric-only model, designed to replace the five-door Cooper and the discontinued Clubman. Positioned as a compact crossover, it sits between the traditional hatch and the larger Countryman, offering a higher driving position and rugged styling cues. The SE trim features a larger 54.2 kWh battery (49.2 kWh usable) and a more powerful motor compared to the entry-level E, providing a WLTP range of up to 252 miles. While initially manufactured in China through a joint venture with Great Wall Motor, production is slated to expand to Mini's Oxford plant in 2026.
