About the MG 6 Mk2
The second-generation MG6 is a five-door fastback with a liftback tailgate, sharing its platform with the Roewe i6 and built by SAIC in Nanjing, China. The representative 1.5T Trophy, badged 20T in China, uses a 1,490 cc direct-injection turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 169 PS and 250 Nm, driving the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, while cheaper versions offered a six-speed manual. China was its main market and the Philippines was among its export markets, but the UK launch trailed for 2018 never took place. A 2020 facelift raised output to 181 PS and 285 Nm, and later MG6 Pro and X-Line updates kept it on sale in China.
