About the MG MGB GT V8

Launched in 1973, the MGB GT V8 addressed the long-standing desire for more power in MG's popular B-series chassis. By using the aluminium Rover V8 engine, MG created a car that was significantly faster than the standard four-cylinder model while actually weighing approximately 20kg less. Despite its performance, the model was never officially exported to the United States due to emission regulations and internal politics at British Leyland. Today, it is highly prized by collectors for its effortless torque, improved weight distribution, and grand touring capabilities.
