About the Mazda 929 HE
The HE-generation Mazda 929, also known as the Sentia in Japan, represented the brand's ambitious push into the premium segment during the early 1990s. It features a distinctive 'pillared hardtop' design with a low, curvaceous silhouette that was influenced by the Jaguar XJ. The 3.0-litre 24-valve V6 engine provided smooth, linear power, while the chassis often featured advanced four-wheel steering for improved agility. Despite its high build quality and sophisticated aesthetics, it struggled to compete with established European rivals and the rise of Lexus.
