About the Lincoln MKC
Introduced for the 2015 model year, the MKC marked Lincoln's entry into the competitive compact luxury crossover segment. While it shares its Global C platform with the Ford Escape, it features unique sheet metal, a wider track, and a significantly more refined interior with Bridge of Weir leather. The 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine provides adequate power, though the driving experience prioritises comfort and isolation over the sportier dynamics of European rivals. For 2016, the MKC received the improved SYNC 3 infotainment system, addressing a major criticism of the launch models.
