About the Maserati MC12
Developed to homologate Maserati for the FIA GT Championship, the MC12 is a carbon-fibre titan built on the bones of the Ferrari Enzo. While it shares the Enzo's 6.0-litre V12 and chassis, the MC12 is significantly longer, wider, and features a removable targa roof, prioritising high-speed stability and aerodynamic efficiency. Its racing counterpart, the GT1, became one of the most dominant forces in motorsport history, securing multiple championships. Only 50 road-going 'Stradale' examples were produced, all finished in the iconic Bianco Fuji and Blu Victory livery, making it one of the rarest and most sought-after hypercars of the 21st century.

Maserati MC12 rarity in CarSpot
The Maserati MC12 is a Unicorn card in CarSpot, with a rarity score of 100 out of 100. The rarest tier: hypercars, one-offs and cars built in tiny numbers, typically fewer than about 500. A Unicorn card is worth 320 XP.

Rarity is a collectible game mechanic, not an assessment of real-world scarcity or value.
Maserati MC12 fun facts
- The MC12 is so long (over 5.1 metres) that it actually exceeded the size restrictions for the American Le Mans Series, requiring special dispensations to compete.
- Unlike the Ferrari Enzo, the MC12 features a removable targa top, though there is no space on board to store it once removed.
- The 2005 production batch was shortened by 150mm compared to the 2004 cars to comply with updated FIA GT regulations.
