About the Maserati 3500 GT
The 3500 GT was Maserati's first successful foray into series production, transitioning the marque from a low-volume racing specialist to a premier road car manufacturer. It features a race-derived inline-six engine evolved from the 350S, housed in a sophisticated 'Superleggera' body designed by Carrozzeria Touring. The 1960 model year is notable for the introduction of front disc brakes as standard equipment, significantly improving the car's stopping power. While it lacks the raw aggression of its Ferrari contemporaries, the 3500 GT is celebrated for its effortless high-speed cruising and refined interior.
