About the BMW M3 Sport Evolution E30
The Sport Evolution, often called the Evo III, was the final and most extreme homologation special of the E30 M3, built to keep BMW competitive in Group A touring car racing. It features a bored and stroked 2.5-litre S14 engine, producing 238 hp, and is distinguished by enlarged front wheel arches and adjustable front and rear spoilers. Weight-saving measures included thinner glass, a lighter boot lid, and a smaller fuel tank, while the interior gained Recaro bucket seats and suede-trimmed controls. It is widely considered the most desirable E30 M3 due to its direct motorsport lineage and significantly sharper handling characteristics.
