About the Lada 110
The Lada 110, also known as the VAZ-2110, represented a significant leap for AvtoVAZ, moving away from the Fiat-derived architecture of the classic Lada series. Development began in the mid-1980s, but economic instability delayed its full production until 1995. It featured a relatively aerodynamic body for its time and a modernised front-wheel-drive layout. While it lacked the refinement of Western contemporaries, it became a staple of Russian roads due to its simplicity and ease of repair.
