About the Honda Freed GB5
The second-generation Honda Freed (GB5) debuted in 2016, refining the 'compact outside, huge inside' philosophy that made its predecessor a staple of Japanese city life. Built on the same platform as the third-generation Jazz, it features a low floor and high roofline to accommodate up to seven passengers within a footprint smaller than a typical family hatchback. The 1.5-litre L15B engine provides adequate pep for urban commuting, while the sliding doors and walk-through cabin design offer class-leading utility. Though primarily a Japanese domestic market model, it has become a popular grey import in the UK and other RHD markets due to its reliability and clever packaging.
