About the SEAT Alhambra Mk1
The first-generation SEAT Alhambra was the result of a joint venture between the Volkswagen Group and Ford, sharing its platform and body with the Volkswagen Sharan and Ford Galaxy. Produced at the AutoEuropa plant in Portugal, it offered a practical seven-seat layout with removable chairs to maximise cargo space. The 130 PS 1.9 TDI variant, featuring 'Pumpe Düse' unit injector technology, was highly regarded for its balance of torque and fuel efficiency. While the interior was more functional than luxurious, its car-like driving dynamics and vast greenhouse made it a staple for large families across Europe.
