About the Honda Brio
The second-generation Honda Brio, unveiled in 2018, represents a significant shift from the quirky, glass-heavy design of its predecessor toward a more conventional and mature hatchback aesthetic. Built on an elongated version of the original platform, it offers improved interior space and a larger boot, addressing the primary criticisms of the first model. While it retains the rev-happy 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine, the refinement and ride quality have been noticeably enhanced for urban commuting. It remains a staple of the Indonesian Low Cost Green Car (LCGC) programme, balancing Honda's reputation for reliability with an accessible price point.

Honda Brio fun facts
- The second-generation Brio ditched the iconic all-glass rear hatch of the first generation in favour of a conventional steel tailgate to improve structural rigidity and cargo space.
- The name 'Brio' is Italian for 'vivacity' or 'verve', reflecting the car's intended character as a nimble urban runabout.
- In Indonesia, the entry-level variants are sold under the 'Satya' name, which means 'true' or 'faithful' in Sanskrit, to comply with local tax incentive regulations.
