About the Holden Commodore VT-VZ
The VT Commodore was a landmark for Holden, representing a $600 million investment to create a world-class large sedan. Based on a widened Opel Omega B platform, it offered significantly improved safety, refinement, and interior space compared to its predecessors. The 3.8-litre Ecotec V6 was the workhorse of the range, providing reliable performance that helped the VT become the best-selling Commodore generation of all time. While the V8 models get the collector glory, the VT Executive remains a symbol of the peak of the Australian domestic car industry.
