About the Ford Mustang SN95
The 1999 model year marked the 35th anniversary of the Mustang and introduced the 'New Edge' styling, replacing the soft curves of the early SN95 with sharp creases and aggressive wheel arches. More importantly, the 4.6-litre Modular V8 received 'Performance Improved' (PI) heads, cams, and intake manifold, bumping output to 260 hp. While it retained the live rear axle that defined the pony car experience, the 1999 GT offered a significant performance leap over its predecessors. It remains a popular entry point for collectors due to its robust engine and the vast aftermarket support available for the platform.
