About the Ford Mustang S550
The S550 Mustang debuted for 2015 and brought independent rear suspension to the regular Mustang range. The 2018 facelift revised its styling and upgraded the US-specification GT’s 5.0-litre Coyote V8 to 460 hp. In six-speed manual form it combines traditional V8 soundtrack and rear-drive character with more sophisticated road manners than earlier Mustangs. Production of the S550 ended as the S650 succeeded it for 2024.
