About the Daihatsu Sirion M100

The first-generation Daihatsu Sirion (M100) was a distinctive entry into the supermini segment, known for its 'bio-design' styling and efficient packaging. In 2001, the 1.0 EL trim benefited from the updated EJ-VE engine featuring Dynamic Variable Valve Timing (DVVT), which improved mid-range response and fuel economy. Despite its diminutive footprint, the Sirion offered a surprisingly airy cabin and five-door practicality. While not a performance car, its low kerb weight of just 800kg makes it agile in urban environments and remarkably cheap to run.
