About the Daewoo Nubira
The Daewoo Nubira (J100) was launched in 1997 as part of the South Korean manufacturer's ambitious global expansion following its split from General Motors. Styled by the Italian I.DE.A Institute, the 1.6 SX served as the entry-level trim, offering a competitive equipment list at a price point significantly lower than European rivals like the Ford Focus. While it lacked the refinement and handling prowess of its contemporaries, it was noted for its spacious interior and straightforward mechanical layout. Today, the Nubira is a rare sight on UK and US roads, having largely served as a disposable commuter vehicle during the late 1990s.
