About the Chrysler 300C LX
The Chrysler 300C marked a dramatic return to rear-wheel-drive American luxury, famously blending 'gangster chic' styling with engineering DNA from the DaimlerChrysler era. Underneath its high-beltline body, the LX platform utilised rear suspension and steering components derived from the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (W211) and S-Class (W220). The 5.7-litre Hemi V8 introduced the Multi-Displacement System (MDS), which could deactivate four cylinders to improve cruising efficiency. While the SRT8 grabbed headlines, the 5.7 Hemi was the definitive executive choice, offering effortless torque and a refined ride that challenged European rivals.
