About the BMW 3 Series E21
The E21 3 Series arrived in 1975 as the successor to the legendary 02 Series, establishing the driver-centric interior layout that would define BMW for decades. While early 320 models used the M10 four-cylinder, the 1977 update introduced the M20 'small six' engine, making the 320/6 one of the smoothest cars in its class. It features a distinctive forward-leaning 'shark nose' grille and a dashboard angled toward the driver. Though often overshadowed by the later E30, the E21 is increasingly prized by collectors for its pure, mechanical steering and classic Paul Bracq styling.
