About the Renault 30
Launched in 1978 as the range-topping evolution of Renault's executive line, the 30 TX replaced the carburetted TS with Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection. It was the first post-war Renault to feature a six-cylinder engine, the 'PRV' V6 shared with Peugeot and Volvo, which provided smooth, effortless cruising. Distinguished by its quadruple round headlights and plush velour interior, the 30 TX offered a soft, typically French ride quality and advanced safety features for its era. Though it suffered from heavy depreciation when new, it is now a rare and sought-after classic for its unique blend of hatchback practicality and executive luxury.
