About the Citroën CX

The Citroën CX was the last model developed before Peugeot's takeover, succeeding the legendary DS with an even more aerodynamic fastback profile. The 2400 Pallas trim represented the pinnacle of luxury for the standard-wheelbase saloon, featuring the 'Vari-Power' self-centring steering and the signature hydropneumatic self-levelling suspension. Its futuristic interior is famous for the 'spaceship' dashboard, which replaced traditional stalks with fingertip controls and featured a revolving drum speedometer. While the DS-derived pushrod engine was traditional, the CX's refinement and high-speed stability made it a preferred choice for European heads of state.
