About the Audi RS 2 Avant
The Audi RS 2 Avant is the legendary progenitor of the RS brand, born from a unique collaboration between Audi and Porsche. Assembled at Porsche's Rössle-Bau plant in Zuffenhausen, it features Porsche-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, and iconic 17-inch 'Cup' wheels. Its 2.2-litre five-cylinder engine, fitted with a larger KKK turbocharger, delivers a characterful soundtrack and explosive mid-range power. While it suffers from period-typical turbo lag, its Quattro all-wheel-drive system ensures immense traction, famously allowing it to out-accelerate a McLaren F1 to 30 mph in contemporary testing.
