About the Wolseley 16/60

The Wolseley 16/60 was the upmarket representative of BMC's 'Farina' family, sharing its Pininfarina-styled body with the Austin A60 Cambridge and Morris Oxford Series VI. Distinguished by its traditional Wolseley grille with an illuminated badge, the 16/60 offered a more refined interior featuring leather upholstery and a polished walnut dashboard. Mechanically, it utilised the reliable 1622cc B-Series engine, providing steady rather than spirited performance. It remained in production long after its siblings, serving as a comfortable and conservative choice for the British middle class until 1971.
