About the Wolseley 6/99
The Wolseley 6/99 was the flagship of the BMC 'Farina' range, sharing its body shell and 2.9-litre C-Series engine with the Austin A99 Westminster. Distinguished by its traditional Wolseley illuminated grille and a more luxurious interior featuring leather and polished wood, it was aimed at the professional classes. It featured disc brakes at the front as standard, a significant advancement for a mass-market British saloon of the era. The 6/99 was replaced by the 6/110 in 1961, which introduced power steering and an improved suspension setup.
