About the Wolseley 1300 ADO16

The Wolseley 1300 was a premium variant of the BMC ADO16 platform, which was Britain's best-selling car for much of the 1960s. Positioned above the Austin and Morris versions, it featured a distinctive illuminated front grille, a walnut-veneered dashboard, and plush upholstery. The 1968 Mark II update introduced the more powerful 65 bhp twin-carburettor 1275cc engine and a fully synchromesh gearbox. It remains a sought-after classic for its combination of advanced Hydrolastic suspension and compact, upscale charm.
