About the Vauxhall Meriva A
The Vauxhall Meriva A was a pioneer in the mini-MPV segment, based on the Corsa C platform but offering significantly more interior versatility. Its standout feature was the 'FlexSpace' seating system, allowing the rear bench to transform from a three-across layout to two individual seats that slide inwards and backwards for increased legroom. The 2006 facelift introduced the 105 PS Twinport engine, which improved fuel efficiency through variable intake geometry. While not a driver's car, it remains a benchmark for packaging efficiency in a small footprint, offering more cabin space than many larger hatchbacks of its era.
