About the Triumph TR6
Triumph began TR6 production in late 1968 and officially introduced the car for the 1969 model year. Karmann reshaped the front and rear of the preceding TR5 design while retaining its separate chassis and much of the central bodywork. This early British-market PI uses Lucas mechanical fuel injection and the original 150 bhp rating, unlike the lower-powered North American carburettor cars. The gearbox could be ordered with overdrive, and the quoted sterling value is Hagerty UK’s current good-condition estimate for a 1972 example.
