About the Triumph TR250
The Triumph TR250 was a one-year-only model developed specifically for the North American market to bridge the gap between the TR4A and the TR6. While the European TR5 featured Lucas mechanical fuel injection, the TR250 used twin Zenith-Stromberg carburettors to meet stricter US emissions standards, resulting in a smoother but less powerful delivery. It retains the handsome Michelotti-styled body of the TR4 but is distinguished by its unique transverse racing stripes across the nose. Collectors value it for its rarity compared to the TR6 and its status as the first six-cylinder TR roadster sold in America.
