About the Triumph 2500 Mk2
The Triumph 2500 TC was introduced as a more reliable, carburetted alternative to the fuel-injected 2.5 PI, which had gained a reputation for mechanical complexity. Styled by Giovanni Michelotti, the Mk2 generation featured a sharp, modern aesthetic that helped it compete with the Rover P6 in the executive market. Its 2.5-litre straight-six engine provided smooth, effortless torque, making it a popular choice for long-distance cruising and even police motorway patrols. Today, it is valued by collectors for its handsome Italian styling, comfortable interior with wooden dashboard, and the ease of maintenance provided by its twin-carburettor setup.
