About the Toyota Vios AC100
The fourth-generation Toyota Vios, designated AC100, represents a significant shift for the nameplate by moving to the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA-B) platform. Debuting in late 2022, it features a more mature 'fastback' silhouette and a significantly improved interior with soft-touch materials and advanced safety tech. While it retains a 1.5-litre Dual VVT-i engine, the new D-CVT transmission and lighter chassis improve efficiency and low-end response. It remains a cornerstone of the B-segment in markets like Malaysia, Thailand (as the Yaris Ativ), and the Philippines, prized for its reliability and high resale value.
