About the Toyota Verso AR20
The Toyota Verso (AR20) was designed specifically for the European market as a successor to the Corolla Verso, dropping the 'Corolla' prefix to establish itself as a standalone nameplate. Built on the Toyota New MC platform, it prioritised safety and practicality, achieving a five-star Euro NCAP rating in 2010. The 1.6-litre Valvematic engine introduced Toyota's 'Optimal Drive' technology, offering a significant power increase over the previous VVT-i unit while improving fuel efficiency. Its 'Easy Flat' seating system allowed for 32 different seating configurations, making it one of the most flexible compact MPVs of its era.
