About the Toyota Starlet P90
The P90-generation Starlet was the final iteration of Toyota's long-running supermini before it was succeeded by the Yaris. In the UK, it was powered by the 4E-FE engine, a unit renowned for its exceptional durability and 'fizzy' character that encouraged spirited driving despite its modest output. While its conservative styling and hard-plastic interior were typical of 1990s economy cars, the P90 featured a unique sloped-down beltline on the front doors to improve visibility. Today, it is increasingly sought after as a reliable entry point into Japanese car ownership and a popular base for 'Glanza' turbo conversions.
