About the Toyota Corona T40

The T40 series Corona was Toyota's first major international success, designed specifically to appeal to American and European tastes with its 'Arrowline' styling. It featured a robust 2R engine and a level of standard equipment that often shamed its contemporary rivals from Ford and BMC. In the UK, it was one of the first Japanese cars to gain a reputation for exceptional reliability and build quality. While once common, surviving examples are now rare and increasingly sought after by collectors of early Japanese classics.
