About the Toyota Avanza F600
Launched in late 2003, the first-generation Toyota Avanza was developed primarily for the Indonesian market as a collaboration between Toyota and Daihatsu. It utilised a rugged body-on-frame chassis and a rear-wheel-drive layout, making it exceptionally durable for heavy loads and poor road conditions. The 1.3-litre K3-VE engine featured VVT-i technology, balancing fuel efficiency with enough utility to carry seven passengers. While basic in its appointments, its reliability and low running costs made it a massive commercial success across emerging markets.
